Mission Statement...

The creative process of painting takes me on a journey past analysis, cynicism and intellectualism. Painting for me is reaching a point of total immersion where the conscious, subconscious, physical action, passion and flow all naturally unite to create balance, colour, purity and coherency. All matters of composition find a natural solution within this flow. It is within this flow that my soul, painting, thought and action are forever joined. This for me is true freedom.

Art can question, educate, repulse, depress, anger, refresh, enlighten and uplift. It is a union of body, mind, nature and spirit. My work is not political analytical or intellectual. It is a purity of colour and flow.

In this ever changing world we live in there is so much destruction, and displacement of mankind and nature. My inspiration stems from the beauty of the planet in which we live and the detertion of what is most precious to the human species both ecologically and ethically. I study maps of ecological hotspots of the world parts of our planet that experience extremes of global warming some of my studies are taken from websites that show satellite shots of the planet that update on a daily basis, ecological deterioration of both manmade pollution and destruction and natural ecological change.
